Mr. Mai Manh Hong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of A2Z Construction Consulting JSC, said the award reflects the company’s efforts in researching and applying digital technologies in transport infrastructure consultancy and design. According to him, the BIM implementation at Huu Nghi – Chi Lang expressway project enhanced coordination efficiency, optimized technical solutions and supported project management from the survey and design stages onward.

As the opening section of the eastern North–South Expressway corridor, Huu Nghi – Chi Lang expressway spans approximately 60 km and passes through 7 communes and wards in Lang Son province. The project is being developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, with a total investment of USD 416.2 million.

During the project’s preparation and implementation phases, the consultancy team applied BIM and various digital solutions to survey, design and project management activities. The early adoption of BIM not only supported the optimization of technical solutions but also enhanced data control, coordination among participating parties and construction management.

At Huu Nghi – Chi Lang expressway project, BIM has been applied during the technical design and construction drawing stages to support land clearance management, monitor construction progress and quality, optimize design solutions and control project costs. The digital data model also enables the project enterprise to strengthen coordination with EPC contractors, improve accountability assessment among consulting parties and mitigate risks during project settlement and finalization processes.
